After sitting in the dry sheds for a few days the lumber is then sent to the planer mill. It is first placed on the tilt hoist which tilts the stack of lumber and causes the lumber to slide off the top of the stack. The stacking sticks that were placed between the layers of lumber fall through onto a conveyer and are reused.
