The side boards that are cut off of the log are moved away from the sharp chain by this conveyer. They are then carried to the edger on a belt conveyer.
The belt conveyer drops the boards off at the descrambler. The boards are then sorted out and sent to the edger one at a time. Excess waste material is dropped onto the conveyor system under the mill to keep the edger free from debris.
