HarriganLumber.Com Virtual Mill Tour.

After the lumber is dried, it is placed in storage for several days to allow the wood to condition or regain some moisture. This allows the wood to adjust to the surrounding humidity and allows the lumber to run better throuhg the planer. The dark color is caused by the type of burner that is used to heat the air. At Harrigan, the air is heated directly by the burning of shavings from the planer.
